Roshanak tries to explain why this place exists
- I want all of our sunset photos, the poems we find, come across or have in mind (like these beautiful poems Brittny been sharing) to be shared in one place. I was thinking the website could be a platform for spontaneous and non-meditated shares too, even impulses and impressions, as well as more meditated and prepped things of course.
- I was gonna say I’m not worried or concerned about us ending up with a flooded place, but I actually will say that I want a flooded place, flooded with all the thoughts and ideas and impressions we have, a beautiful brain dump. In my head, I want an open space of open and uninhibited sharing. This may be because sharing for me is most accessible in bursts of impulse. So I just wanted to put this here about a way I’m thinking of this platform.
- I want to see these things that pass through our minds often and I’m hoping having them here will make for a situation where one could go there and scroll and scroll through all sorts of great things. A place to “turn on, tune in, drop out” if you will!
- I the idea of a beautiful brain dump you can scroll through to see what’s passing through peoples minds.
- I think as I’ve thought and talked about it more i realized I’m basically imagining a social media platform that is not as mass-ive and agenda-y.
- I really like the idea of creativity with no direction, so that makes it hard to pinpoint vision (and mission). For myself, I imagined I would use it for a lot of different types of creative projects that I’ve thought of but haven’t moved much past ideation, like the idea of studying poems to learn a language. I like to do this with Spanish and French maybe and maybe German too, and Persian of course.
- And another thing I’ve thought of is creating repositories of videos I like and find useful for learning various things like synthesizer projects, mechanical and electrical projects, woodworking etc.
- Honestly I have too many ideas for the amount of time, energy and motivation I have!! But I thought of this place as a motivating start.
- This also was a lot influenced by all of our conversations. They are interesting and beneficial conversations where we point to things we’ve seen and heard that have moved us.
- Seeing as I also have those interesting tidbits and info and material from various sources and I’m still super slow in sharing, I wouldn’t say hey everyone let’s all post more (while I would love that obv).
- I started thinking about explaining my idea about the beautiful brain dump after we shared sunset pics and also the fact that sometimes I share one thing with 4 people across different chats! I kinda started thinking that this website can be a central space for these.
