The very first time I experienced psychedelics
A careful one tab of acid
Set and setting
A world of intentions
A playlist was made
For my ears to experience
Songs I had never heard before
I only heard the first song
Skies Over Cairo by Django Django
Knowing my perception of time
Had warped for the first time
(baby’s first warping of time? hah)
I’m not sure how much of the song
I could listen to
Before taking off the super headphones
To say
It’s too colorful
And now about 6 years later
I finally saw it
I saw skies over cairo
the way I saw it in my head
on my very first trip
in Kandinsky’s Composition 8
And I so want to dance
about the fact that
it’s called composition 8
I like 8
I like 8 a lot
